Students attempt to build ‘largest serving of salsa’ Dec. 7
A fourth team of Fresno State Marketing students will attempt to create the world’s largest serving of salsa, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 7 at PR farms in Clovis (2917 E. Shepherd Ave). The goal is to create 3,500 pounds of salsa and surpass the standing record of 2,672 pounds. They are the fourth team of Fresno State marketing students attempting to break Guinness World Records; the first three all reported successful attempts – the largest mousse, the largest lemonade and the largest salsa. A fifth “record upset” is being planned, by another team in Dr. William Rice’s marketing class, for Dec. 12 but details are not final. Bulldog holiday celebration at alumni house Dec. 7

CineCulture screens ‘Free Men (Les Hommes libres)’ Dec. 7
Fresno State’s CineCulture program will screen the French film “Free Men (Les Hommes libres)” at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Leon S. and Pete P. Peters Educational Center in the Student Recreation Center. Dr. Rose Marie Kuhn, professor of French and coordinator of the French Studies Program at Fresno State, will lead a post-screening discussion of film that depicts the little known story of a handful of Muslims who fought for the French Resistance and helped hide and rescue French Jews during WWII. ‘Maddy Report’ to address the legislative agenda, Dec. 7
Legislative Year in Review and Legislative Agenda for 2013 will be the topics discussed on this week’s “Maddy Report” that airs 7 p.m. Friday Dec. 7 on KVPT, channel 18.1. Alumni Association launches Bulldog Shopping Network
The Fresno State Alumni Association has launched the Bulldog Shopping Network (BSN), an online retail program that allows consumers to generate proceeds for the Association from participating retailers while shopping online. Consumers may download the free BSN browser button to see participating retailers or visit the BSN website for more details.
